Equine Reproductive Management School 
Description:

Practical study of the physiology and management practices associated with the breeding of horses.

Lectures (6 hrs):
  • Optimizing fertility
  • Natural & artificial breeding systems
  • Mare reproductive physiology & management
  • Body condition & reproductive performance
  • Artificial control of the estrous cycle & season
  • Pregnancy testing
  • Stallion reproductive physiology & management
  • Managing infertility
  • Breeding records & breeding contracts
Hands-on Lab (1 hr):
  • Body Condition (body fatness) scoring
Time:
  		8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
 
Enrollment:
  		Minimum 2, Maximum 8 participants
 
Course Fee:
  		$125 per participant
$90 for 2nd person - spouse or farm assistant
