This 3-day school focuses on the development of the hands-on skills & techniques associated with the freezing of stallion semen. Each participant will evaluate and centrifuge semen, perform five (5) test freezing / freezing protocols and conduct post freezing assessment. (For training in the utilization of frozen-thawed semen see the Utilizing Frozen Semen School)
Participation in the Equine Fresh Semen School or previous experience with the collection and evaluation of equine fresh semen is strongly recommended as these skills are not taught in this school.
Note: Sufficient stallions are provided for the school, however, participants within driving distance of Ramona may bring their stallion for test freezing - prefer phantom trained, however mares are available for mounted collection. Contact Dr. Kubiak if you are considering this option.
